EL7282 - A 1740 pattern Gloucestershire Militia infantryman's hanger, by Samuel Harvey. Harvey's running dog emblem, with SH initials, clearly stamped to both sides of the blade. The brass guard bearing the Gloucestershire Militia engraving. The brass wire wrap of the grip is a replacement, but the hilt assembly is solid and there is no notable movement in the hilt on the tang. A good infantry sword of the Jacobite era.
