EL6245 - A 1796 pattern light cavalry trooper's sabre by Runkel, with refurbished grip. This has a government inspection stamp on the blade, as well as Runkel of Solingen's name engraved on the spine. The blade is in good condition, with some minor wear to the edge and point, generally quite bright on the surface with appropriate patina to the age. The grip, or at least the grip covering, has been replaced or refurbished at some point, but it has been done quite well and the hilt assembly is all solid and serviceable. The blade is firm in the hilt and everything seems to have been put back together properly. Together with the scabbard.
