EL7416 - A scarce 1821 pattern heavy cavalry troopers' sword, marked to the 2nd Dragoons (Scots Greys). The ricasso carrying Enfield proof markings and the date 1848. The hilt, scabbard and blade have been polished bright, but the markings are still quite clear. The 36 inch blade has been service sharpened and is firm in the hilt, with everything solid and no movement I can find. The peen of the end of the tang and the lateral pin all look good and original. The grip has most of the leather remaining and the sword is complete with original scabbard.
