EL6330 - A classic and good condition example of the 1845 pattern Royal Navy cutlass, with full length 29 inch blade. This should date to 1845 to circa 1859 and Deakin was a good Birmingham maker. The blade carried Deakin's name to the spine and also the Birmingham approval stamp, showing that this was tested and accepted for Navy service. The blade has some staining and a little pitting here and there, but is generally in very good condition for a mid-Victorian naval cutlass. The hilt retains its black paint and everything is completely solid and tight.
