EL7012 - A good condition example of the 1885 pattern trooper's sword, by Weyersberg of Solingen. Numerous markings to decipher - perhaps Gloucester Yeomanry Cavalry after regular army. The sword was made in February 1888 and re-issued various times. The scabbard fits perfectly, but as it carries the Mole mark, was probably switched in the regimental armoury during the Victorian period. Everything complete, solid and the blade in good polish.
