EL6146 - An 1889 pattern Royal Navy cutlass. In somewhat pitted condition, but all solid and sound. The blade with light patina all over, apparently service-sharpened, with proof marks still visible (they seem to be Enfield markings). The hilt painted black (probably original), with brass rack number (showing it probably equipped a ship originally). The hilt and blade all firm and robust, with full width patent tang and ribbed iron grips.
