Product Details
EL7240 - A late-19th century Afghan/Pathan Khyber knife or choora/charah. These were the standard sidearm of men in Afghanistan throughout the 19th century, but this is a slightly better quality example than the average, with bone grip scales and pin decoration to the horn pommel. Incised circle decoration to the brass ferrule and backstrap, with a bright sharp T-section blade of 22 inches long. The hilt all solid with no movement. Complete with scabbard, which are somewhat scarce to find intact with khyber knives, having the leather covering (some loss on one side) and ornate brass chape.
