EL7362 - A good mid to late-18th century Scottish basket hilted backsword. Featuring a 32 inch backsword blade, with double fuller, having engraved letters and motifs, in structurally good condition with patina and some light pitting, particularly at the tip. The blade firm in the hilt and no movement in the grip or hilt, all being tight and solid. The grip likely a replacement, with copper Turk's heads and spirally bount wire. The iron Glasgow style basket hilt in generally good condition, with a couple of small parts missing and a couple of repairs evident, but all solid. The bun-shaped pommel with no signs of disturbance and even light pitting to the pommel and peen.
