Product Details
EL6847 - A high quality Napoleonic era 1796 pattern infantry officer's spadroon, by Cooper & Craven (1803-1818). There is extensive blue and gilt left on the blade, with some light corrosion in places. This blade could be enhanced further, but I have left it as it came to me - the foible of the blade should be in high mirror polish, and it could be brought back to this by a competent restorer. The hilt with much gilding remaining and quite firm on the tang, with only a tiny bit of movement. The folding guard drop works well and the silver covered grip is in very good condition. A high quality and very presentable example of this model.
