EL7139 - A good 1856 pattern Pioneer's sawback hanger, made by Wilkinson in 1898 and marked as issued to the 3rd Battalion of the Leicester Regiment in 1899 (they served in the Boer War during this period). The guard is slightly deformed, but it is all solid. The blade is excellent in original mirror polish, with deep stamps visible.
