EL6496 - A scarce 1892 pattern (dating 1892-1895) infantry officer's sword, retailed by Harman of Calcutta, and made by Pillin of London. The hilt and blade bear the Imperial VRI cypher. In overall good condition, with crisp etching and a very good grip. Patina to hilt and blade, with a bit of surface rust which should come off easily. A top quality and scarce sword, complete with matching scabbard.
