EL7396 - A scarce Staff Sergeant's sword 1898 pattern for Indian infantry. Made by Wilkinson and carrying the India Stores Depot stamp, and housed in an Indian style field service scabbard. It carries a 1914 engraving, and has been service sharpened, presumably for a British Raj Indian infantry regiment deploying to WW1. The blade very clean and bright, with only a few small blemishes, and is firm in the hilt. The hilt has some pitting and dark patina overall. The scabbard in good condition.
