ELC1091 - A Napoleonic infantry officer's sabre (probably dating 1796-1805ish). Featuring a very curved flat-wedge-section 'scimitar' blade of 27 inches measured in a straight line. Hilt firm on the tang and comprising an iron guard and backpiece, with leather covered grip (some restoration showing) and silver grip wire intact and secure. No scabbard.
