Product Details
EL7324 - A mystery Georgian cutlass, probably a composite. The blade appears to be an original 18th century Georgian cutlass blade, carrying the GR stamp, which has been re-rusted and polished up, with some pitting remaining. But the hilt is a mystery to me. The wooden grip looks much more recent, and I have not seen a guard exactly like this on a Georgian cutlass before. It looks vaguely familiar to me, as if I have seen one before somewhere, but after searching through all my books I cannot find another like it. The guard does look like it could be old/original, but I am not sure. Priced accordingly.
