EL7129 - A very good and quite unusual Indian tulwar, featuring an 18th century Northern Indian tulwar hilt, mounted on an earlier European blade. The blade is probably late-1600s Italian, and features the remnants of various talismanic motifs, including a faced sun emblem. The blade is mostly bright and clean, with a few areas of pitting, has triple fullers, and measures 32.5 inches. The hilt is solid on the tang, with no movement. The hilt is of high quality manufacture with very crisp lines and robust guard and pommel disc, and fairly large and comfortable for a modern hand.
