EL7229 - An excellent example of an early Victorian (1837-1845) 1821 pattern light cavalry officer's sword, retailed by Andrews of Pall Mall. The whole sword and scabbard professionally restored by Pooley Sword some years ago. The blade in bright polish, with the original (not replaced) etching fine and crisp, showing the VR cypher and maker's mark. The shagreen grip and wire in excellent condition and housed in the original scabbard. The blade is firm in the grip, though there is a little lateral movement to the guard.
