Product Details
EL6454 - An good quality early Victorian light cavalry officer's sword, retailed by Hamburger. In good condition and with the early style of retailer etching on the base of the fuller, rather than the ricasso, this probably dates it to 1845-1855, putting it firmly in the era of a number of interesting wars. The blade is in high original polish with clear etching, though there are a few areas of light pitting nearer the tip (pictured), which have been polished at some time previous (possibly during its service life). There is some light pitting all over the guard, but the shagreen is in quite good condition, and everything is firm. With its correct scabbard.
