EL7187 - A good quality Edward VII era 1896 pattern cavalry officer's sword by Pillin. Everything solid and tight, the blade has been rather over polished and the etching is now mostly obscured. The blade does not seem to have been service sharpened. The hilt in very good condition, the shagreen and grip wire would however benefit from a gentle clean. Complete in full dress steel scabbard, which has a light dusting of surface rust, requiring some cleaning. A very good quality and solid big sword, which would reward a little attention.
