EL6998 - A Filipino Moro-type barong, from perhaps around 1900 or the early 20th century. A broad single-edged blade of just over 18 inches, with hardwood and brass hilt, having rattan binding over the top. Complete in scabbard. The scabbard has some splits in the wood, and there is movement in the hilt due to the loss of the adhesive pitch with age (see photos), so the brass collar and the wooden grip does move a bit on the tang. This should be possible to fix relatively easily.
