Product Details

EL7207 - A George III era 5-ball infantry officer's spadroon, c.1770-1796. Featuring a quite typical single-edged spadroon blade, with spear-point and fuller, being quite bright and clean for the age. The guard with a pleasing blued patina and in good shape, dark shagreen grip , with the main strand of twisted wire remaining. There is a little bit of movement in the guard, but it is quite firm on the tang and is a nice handling sword, a classic type of the late American War of Independence or early Napoleonic period.
