EL7142 - A Georgian infantry officer's spadroon, dating to around 1780-1795. Blade with light pitting and patina, single edged and just under 32 inches in length, firm in the hilt. The guard of iron with side ring containing diamond shape, engaging a cushion-form pommel at the end of the knucklebow. Grip of reeded ebony. There are small holes on the grip which show that there was originally some sort of decoration, perhaps of silver, perhaps regimental, now lost.
