EL6124 - A lovely Edwardian Highland Field Officer's style sword, etched for an officer of the Dumbarton Rifle Volunteers.

Superb plated steel scroll hilt with 1895 pattern fully chequered backstrap, this sword dates to 1902-1910. Featuring a 'claymore' double-fullered and double-edged blade, in high polish with great etching, firm in the hilt. The blade is etched to Glasgow retailer Leckie, Graham & Co and carries top maker Pillin's proof slug.

Housed in its original wood and leather field service scabbard, this is a lovely sword and a highly desirable and sought-after pattern, by a top maker.
