EL7262 - An infantry officer's sword with 1845 pattern blade and updated 1895 pattern hilt, named on the blade to J. G. Morris. Morris is listed in 1895 as a Captain in the 2nd Volunteer Battalion of the Welsh Regiment (Maesteg Detachment). The blade mostly bright and clean, except for a few areas of rust blackening, firm in the hilt. The hilt in good condition. The scabbard is a later replacement, but of the correct field service type.
