EL7043 - A late-Victorian infantry officer's sword, featuring an 1845 pattern blade, probably from the 1880s, updated with the 1895 pattern hilt in 1895/96. While there is no retailer or maker visible on the blade now, from the etching I am quite certain that this is by Pillin, and is good quality. The blade is bright and clean, the hilt plating in good condition and bright, and the grip also good. Everything is tight with no movement. Complete in black field service scabbard.
