EL7061 - Wilkinson Boer War era cavalry officer's sword, numbered 37483 (for 1900), sold to a 'Lieutenant Summers'. There was a Lieutenant F Summers serving with the 14th Battalion of the Imperial Yeomanry in the Second Anglo-Boer War (thanks to a friend for this information). The blade has been service sharpened. The etching is rather worn and buffed out in places, and the tip is a little bent, though the hilt is in very good condition. Complete in unusual field service scabbard, with belt or saddle attachment strap. Likely to have been carried in South Africa and good research potential. Everything solid with no movement.
