Product Details
EL7094 - A Victorian volunteer artillery officer's sword, made by Pillin and retailed by Wood, and named to Henry Goldsmith of the 17th London Artillery Volunteers. I have not researched the officer any further. The sword is in sound condition, with no movement, though there is some quite dark patina to both hilt and scabbard. The blade has light patina and the shagreen and wire of the grip is good. There is some dark oil residue in the scabbard and the whole sword would benefit from some cleaning and light restoration work. Good research potential.
