EL7269 - A good quality 1803 infantry officer's sabre, featuring a blue and gilt decorated 'scimitar' blade. The blade, of 27.5 inches measured in a straight line, has quite good preservation of the blue and gilt decoration on one side, and mediocre on the other side. The highly curved blade is in generally good condition and firm in the hilt, though the guard itself has some movement, probably due to compression of the leather washer, but the grip itself is firm on the tang. Good condition shagreen and the thickest part of the grip wire remaining. No maker that I can see and no scabbard.
