Product Details

EL6695 - A lovely German Imperial/Prussian Cuirassier officer's pallasch, made by WKC Solingen and etched 'Eisenhauer' (the blade was tested by cutting into an iron wire), with copious decoration. Probably dating to around 1900 to WW1, the brightly plated blade is firm in the hilt, with only a couple of very tiny areas of loss to the plating. The blade is firm in the hilt. The hilt is in very good shape, with good shagreen and wire, the only flaw worth noting being the loss of most of the leather finger-loop. The scabbard is present and original, though one of the wooden lining slats is a bit loose and this sometimes gets stuck when sheathing the sword (but usually not). A relatively scarce sword and in really nice condition - this sword feels great in the hand.
