EL7309 - A rare late-18th century Kingdom of Sardinia infantry hanger, featuring a broad 24 inch sabre blade. The blade with some pitting, but clear engraving showing the 'Viva le Roi' motto and eagle motif. Brass hilt with knucklebow and sidebar, with a bit of movement on the tang due to the loss of the leather washer. Leather covered wooden grip, firm on the tang.
