EL7268 - A good and scarce 1788 pattern heavy cavalry troopers' sword, featuring a 36 inch straight backsword blade and 3-bar half basket hilt. The blade is firm in the hilt, with no movement, and has clearly been service sharpened. It has light patina and a few bits of light pitting, but is generally in good condition and free of bends or any notable damage. The hilt is firm on the tang and the metal parts have light pitting and grey patina, the spirally grooved wooden grip now lacking any covering (it would have been thin leather).
