Product Details

EL7109 - A scarce 1899 pattern cavalry troopers' sword and scabbard, with numerous markings. Made in Enfield in 1901, it seems to have been repeatedly re-issued, including to the 18th Hussars, and then to the C.R.H.A. which I presume is part of the Royal Horse Artillery. The sword has been service sharpened and was very likely taken to South Africa in the Second Anglo Boer War, presumably with the 18th Hussars. With even patina, but good condition overall, good grips, no movement and compete with scabbard.
