Product Details
EL7285 - A George V era 1896 pattern cavalry officer's sword, by a Canadian retailer. Sold by Inglis of Montreal and Winnipeg, it is quite rare to see British patterns of sword marked to Canadian outfitters. This sword was presumably made between 1910 and 1912, when the new cavalry officer's sword pattern was introduced, although we have noted examples of the 1896 pattern sold as late as 1918. The condition overall is very good to excellent, in bright polish and very clean, with crisp etching. The grip very good and everything tight with no movement. Complete with original sword knot and dress scabbard.
