Product Details

EL7172 - Scarce form of late Victorian or Edwardian Indian cavalry sword, with tulwar style blade. Of broad and robust form, the blade well service sharpened, this probably dates to around 1890-1905. The scabbard of characteristic form, but with brass rather than the normal iron mounts. The grip of hardwood, with wire (50% wire still present), the hilt is solid on the tang with no movement. There is a number on the quillon, presumably a rack number for the regimental armoury.
