EL7333 - A slender 1845 pattern infantry officer's sword made by Thurkle and retailed by Flight, featuring an unusually flat grip. Having handled hundreds of examples of this model of sword, I think this is the flattest grip I have ever seen on one, and coupled with the checkered back piece it suggests a special request by the officer. It gives a very specific feeling in the hand and helps edge alignment. In good overall condition, with scabbard, and being basically firm in the hilt assembly with only the slightest bit of movement in the guard.
