EL7005 - A good Victorian 1845 pattern infantry officer's sword, retailed by Flight of Winchester, c.1845-1860. The hilt firm on the tang, the guard drop section working well, the blade mostly bright, with rather faint etching, and a bit of pitting near the tip (see photos). The blade has been well service sharpened for the last third, so this was presumably taken on campaign, as is of the Crimean War era. The brass guard is in good condition generally, but with a bit of a dent to the outer branch. Complete in matching scabbard.
