EL7023V2 - A good Victorian infantry officer's sword, 1845 pattern, by Thurkle. Hilt in excellent condition, with bright brass guard and back piece, and all the shagreen and grip wire in excellent state. The hilt firm on the tang with no movement. The blade is in generally excellent condition in terms of polish, with bright original mirror finish and deep crisp etching, however there are some nicks to the unsharpened edge (see photos). Complete in original scabbard.
