EL7162 - Victorian 8th Northumberland Rifles officer's sword, featuring an updated 1895 pattern hilt on the earlier 1845 pattern blade. The blade, with patina but mostly clear etching, shows the 8th Northumblerland Rifles designation in the etching, and carries Thurkle's proof disc. The retailer seems to be Downie. The blade is firm in the hilt. The hilt with dark patina, with the grip wire missing, but the shagreen good. It would be worth doing some careful restoration on this. Complete in plated steel scabbard.
