EL7011 - A good Victorian Indian Army Infantry Officer's Sword by Thurkle, circa 1880. Thurkle were one of the best London sword makers and major suppliers to the Army and officers in India. This sword is marked ISD (India Stores Depot) and as such, although an officer's sword, was government procured and sent out to India. This could have been a replacement for a British officer in India, or an Indian officer. The blade is bright, with crisp etching. The hilt is in very good condition also, with patina which I have left (but could be polished easily). The shagreen and grip wire is good, and everything is solid with no movement. Complete with scabbard.
