EL7436 - A late Victorian infantry officer's sword, featuring an 1845 pattern blade and updated 1895 pattern hilt (added 1895-96). The proof disc is gone and there is no maker or retailer on the ricasso that I can see. The standard 32 inch 1845 patten blade, firm in the hilt, with light patina and rather faint etching, but in generally sound condition. The hilt with matching patina, the shagreen good, but quite a bit of the wire missing. Complete with matching scabbard.
