EL7279 - A light cavalry or artillery officer's sword probably made by Pillin, which has been 'restored' (heavily polished) to within an inch of its life! The hilt, including guard and shagreen grip are actually in good condition and relatively unscathed, but the blade has obviously been rusty during its life, resulting in some pitting still visible in areas, and then it has been very brutally over-polished. I have priced it as a beginner or project piece. The scabbard seems to be original and fits well.
