Product Details
EL7304 - A good Victorian Rifles officer's sword. The scabbard and hilt with dark patina and some pitting, requiring cleaning, but a very good blade with a high percentage of original mirror polish and crisp etching, with just a few spots of surface rust requiring polishing. The blade firm in the hilt, with no movement, and the grip with good shagreen and wire, but in need of cleaning. The proof disc and style of etching probably point to this having been made in Birmingham by Reeves, so it probably dates to the 1860s.
