EL7073 - A WW1 era 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword by Wilkinson, with cosmetic issues! Please look at the photos carefully - the blade is actually in very good condition, mostly bright original polish and service sharpened, firm in the hilt with no movement. However the hilt has suffered, with the loss of the plating, some corrosion where the sword knot was obviously tied and retained moisture, and some of the grip wire has gone. That said, it is all structurally sound and of course a great quality Wilkinson, worthy of some restoration and research.
