EL7165 - The late Victorian Wilkinson Royal Artillery sword of Major Gerald Alister Jamieson. The sword is numbered 33800 for 1896 and Major Jamieson served in Burma and India, and transferred to the Indian Army in 1901. He was Mentioned in Despatches in 1908 during the Mohmand Campaign. In WW1 he served in Mesopotamia and was again Mentioned in Despatches, he was wounded and died in India in 1916. The sword is in excellent refurbished condition for modern parade use by a serving officer. The blade has been service sharpened for active service and then repolished. The scabbard and hilt have been re-plated. Everything is firm without movement and the sword almost looks like new. Complete with original sword knot.
