EL6949 - A Wilkinson-made 1895 pattern infantry officer's sword. Made for 'trade' (for an outfitter to stock and sell), therefore this Wilkinson is not numbered, but the crowned proof slug is the most famous of Wilkinson's trade slugs. The plating has gone from the hilt, but this could be polished up if desired. The blade is bright and seems to have been cleaned, so the etching is a bit faint. Everything tight and solid. In field service scabbard.
